Bronzed Earth Awards

There's something about the Golden Globes that is different than other award show. It's not quite as high brow as the Oscars, but it's still formal, black tie and tux, long dresses and fancy. It's one of my favorite award shows because everyone looks beautiful and dressy (well, most people. I'm looking at you, Halle Berry), but it's still pretty relaxed.

I loved Sunday night's show. The fashion was beautiful, but we all know which dresses were loved and not so loved, so I won't rehash.

Hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are two smart, hilarious women who are great role models for young girls. And they were amazing. Although I love TSwift, their comment about her keeping her hands off of Michael J. Fox Jr. was so spot on. I noticed they didn't show Taylor's face after that joke...

Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig were the best presenters, hands down. I love them too much for words.

Jodie Foster's speech was...odd. I didn't really understand what was going on, but everyone was crying. I'm clearly not in the know.

Everyone I wanted to win won: Jennifer Lawrence, Daniel Day-Lewis, Jessica Chastain, Hugh Jackman. And then Ann Hathaway won and it was terrible, and I chugged wine because of it.

Well anyway, that's my take on the 70th Golden Globes. What did you think?

  1. Hallie Berry=hot mess. In fact, she was nominated as "worst dressed" on the Fashion Police.

Will & Kristen...be in my life more.

WTF with Jodie Foster's speech? Kalin and I were watching it think she HAD to be drunk/crazy high. On the subject, I felt like one of the themes for that night was weird speeches. IE Daniel Day-Lewis...love him, but what was the deal about the 'I feel like I sneak out and bring home a dead mouse' or whatever comment, Kevin Costner, Robert Downing Jr. introducing Jodie Foster etc.)

Also, I have a total girl crush on Sofia Vergara. Her dress, body...rockin'.

ALSO...Did you see Leonard DiCaprio. Holy. Crap. Balls. Still just as FINE as he was in Titanic. He's like fine wine my friend.
